No, this is syslog's job to apply different levels of
filtering based on the source (host, facility, program, ...)
e.g. for rsyslog:
http://www.rsyslog.com/doc/rsyslog_conf_filter.html

I've never actually done this, I just think it's possible
according to the documentation :-)
