That's hard to believe, LOG_ERR or LOG_INFO only change the
error level reported to syslog, and nothing else. These
levels can by syslog to only display certain messages. See
syslog(3).


That said, I have to admit I didn't test this bit of code
in-depth, and something stranger might be happening. I'll
see if I can reproduce this (unfortunately I think my 3G
phone connects without problems). Thanks for the report.
