I don't see anything obviously wrong. Does connecting
directly to openvpn work?

Also, can you run sslh directly from the command line in
foreground with debug? something like:

./sslh-select -f -v --user sslh --listen 0.0.0.0:443 --openvpn 172.29.0.1:5009 --ssh 127.0.0.1:22 --ssl 127.0.0.1:443 --tinc 127.0.0.1:655 --pidfile /var/run/sslh/sslh.pid
